Four lessons aimed at teaching prefixes in Lower KS2. Included are the lesson PowerPoints as well as any activity sheets required and a sheet with example prefixes. Over the four lessons, children will deepen their understanding of what prefixes are and where they can find them, the different meanings of prefixes and how they change the meanings of words. This will include practising with different prefixes as well as a final lesson that involves more explanation of what each prefix is doing.

A simple noun sorting activity that requires children to sort different nouns into whether they are common or proper. The common nouns are all examples of nouns they would expect to see in a classroom so that these can be put in context.
